This presentation will cover what is meant by wellness and wellness need states that can impacted by diet and ingredients. It will also consider the leading ingredients relating to each of the need states, together with examples of market products.

Carol's presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with live Q&A. Chaired by Katy Askew, Senior Editor of FoodNavigator, the panel will discuss Wellness ingredients: An innovation opportunity in mainstream grocery. The COVID-19 pandemic has placed the link between diet and wellness into sharp relief. Will the crisis accelerate the trend toward ingredients that deliver either physical or mental health benefits? What ingredients strike a chord with the concerns of today’s consumers? And – given the likely recession looming – will it reach the mass market?
