Anastasia is passionate about using science and technology to solve big problems. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology and a PhD in Biology (Carleton University, Canada). Following her PhD, Anastasia moved to Sweden to carry out research at Chalmers University of Technology, where she subsequently became a project leader. During this time, Anastasia supervised various metabolic engineering/synthetic biology projects, leading to high-impact publications and patents. This work also led Anastasia to co-found Melt&Marble, a company dedicated to making our agri-food system more sustainable by supplying different industries with the ultimate designer fats, made by precision fermentation.
