Cliona acted as the Chief Executive Director of Foundation Earth. She has been working to drive systemic change across the agri-food sector. She has broad background that spans 25 years in the environmental sector. Cliona has chaired the European Commission’s Enterprise Europe Network Environment Sector Group, driving the uptake of environmental solutions for SMEs across Europe, and has collaborated as an expert with the EC on developing the advanced agendas for the circular economy, climate policy and the green transition. She has worked across Europe with Member State and regional public authorities to design and deliver large scale, multi-sectorial plans for decarbonisation and transition to a low-carbon, circular economy for industrial value chains. At Foundation Earth, she focuses on a delivering a harmonised approach to data driven and science-based assessments of environmental impact in food value chains.
