Melissa has a diverse and multifaceted academic and professional background that includes a Bachelor of Science in Cell Molecular Biology (Winona State University), a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology (Emory University) and a Doctorate in Nutritional Sciences (University of Illinois). Melissa has been with Tate & Lyle for 2 years, responsible for pre-clinical and clinical research globally, as well as the translation and communication of evidence-based science for internal and external audiences.

Melissa came to Tate & Lyle from PepsiCo where she spent over eight years in the nutrition science group in various roles supporting both research and nutrition science translation for grains, snacks, and juice.

Melissa will be part of a panel discussion on "Prebiotic fibers and resistant starch" on March 17.
