Justin leads an extraordinary community of employee-owners on their mission: “we Invent the Future of Food, One Product at a time". His clients range from the world’s largest food companies to small mission-driven start-ups on initiatives that span every technology, category, and consumer need state in food & beverage. Mattson’s diverse community of strategists, marketers, insights professionals, food scientists, and commercialization specialists have launched hundreds of new product lines and thousands of SKUs.

Justin earned a Ph.D. in food science from the University of California, Davis and Bachelors of Science degrees in both food science and nutrition at the University of Minnesota. As a long-time member of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) he has served on their Board of Directors and as Chair of their non-profit foundation Feeding Tomorrow.

Justin will be part of a panel discussion on "Plotting the next 10 years in plant-based protein" on March 24.
